India and Chennai Super Kings (CSK) all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja set the social media on fire with his wittiness as his funny jibe to Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) over their post involving CSK captain MS Dhoni.

Kolkata Knight Riders on Sunday shared a photo of Australia's bellicose field setting for James Anderson during the final moments of the drawn 4th Ashes Test in Sydney Cricket Ground, remembering when KKR captain Gautam Gambhir had set similarly aggressive field for MS Dhoni during their match against the now-defunct Rising Pune Supergiant in IPL.

KKR labelled the field placement "a masterstroke", saying Pat Cummins's field setting for the England tail-ender reminded them of Gambhir's tactics against Dhoni from the IPL game. "That moment when a classic move in Test cricket actually reminds you of a T20 master stroke!" KKR wrote.

However, Ravindra Jadeja, who has been with CSK since 2012, decided to give it back to KKR, saying that it was a showoff, not a master-stroke.

“Its not a master stroke! Just a show off,” Jadeja replied to KKR’s post.

Jadeja has been retained by the CSK franchise for the upcoming IPL 2022 as their first retention. Other retained players by the franchise are captain MS Dhoni, Moeen Ali and Ruturaj Gaikwad.
