The Indian U19 team led by Yash Dhull made the country proud after they won the U19 Asia Cup after beating the Sri Lanka U19 team in the final in Dubai on Friday, December 31, 2021. The match had to be curtailed due to rains.

Sri Lanka captain Dunith Wellalage won the toss and chose to bat first, but the decision came back to haunt them. Indian spinners Kaushal Tambe (2/23) and Vicky Ostwal (3/11) routed their batting as they managed just 106/9 in 38 overs when the rains came down heavily.
