Pakistan cricket fraternity rejoices as Pakistan edge out India in a thrilling U-19 Asia Cup clash

Pakistan chased down India's target of 238 on the last delivery of the match.

Pakistan registered a thrilling two-wicket victory over arch-rivals India in the ongoing Under-19 Asia Cup in Dubai on Saturday (December 25).

Asked to bat first, India got bowled out for 237 in 49 overs. Wicketkeeper Aaradhya Yadav was the top scorer with 50 while opener Harnoor Singh contributed 46.

Zeeshan Zameer was the stand-out bowler for Pakistan, claiming five wickets by conceding 60 runs in his 10 overs.

In reply, Pakistan U-19 rode on No. 3 batter Muhammad Shehzad’s stroke-filled 81 and a late cameo from Ahmad Khan (29 not out) to overhaul the target on the last delivery. Ahmad hit Ravi Kumar for a boundary in the game’s final delivery to seal the deal for Pakistan.

For India, Raja Bawa returned with impressive bowling figures of 4/56 in 10 overs but his effort eventually went in vain.

Pakistan cricket fraternity was delighted after their close victory over the neighbours and they took to Twitter to rejoice their success.
