Cricket fraternity reveres 'Mr 360' AB de Villiers after he calls time on his illustrious cricketing career

The international cricket fraternity came together to sing rich praises of South Africa cricketing legend AB de Villiers who announced his retirement from all forms of cricket on November 19, 2021.

De Villiers, who had retired from international cricket abruptly in 2018, continued to ply his trade in various T20 leagues across the world. However, more of his memorable performances came in the Indian Premier League (IPL), where he appeared majorly for the RCB franchise since 2011.

AB de Villiers played 157 matches for RCB and scored 4522 runs at a strike rate of 158.33. He is also the franchise's second-highest run-scorer of all time, behind Virat Kohli.

De Villiers played T20 leagues at home in MSL, in PSL in Pakistan, in CPL in the Caribbean, and even in the BBL in Australia. He remained a popular figure wherever he went and made quite a few records in his appearances.

Today, as he called curtains of his illustrious batting career, AB de Villiers received much love and admiration from his peers and contemporaries on social media.
