"Lot of great memories Ravi bhai," Ajinkya Rahane responds to Ravi Shastri's farewell note

Ravi Shastri's coaching stint with Indian cricket team ended with T20 World Cup 2021.

Former India head coach Ravi Shastri on Saturday (November 13) posted a farewell note on Twitter as his coaching stint ended with T20 World Cup 2021. Shastri, who took over the role in 2017, guided Team India to numerous memorable victories in his coaching tenure. 

Shastri thanked BCCI for making him a part of the team and added that he is going to support the Indian cricket team till the time he will watch this sport. "Now that the penny has dropped…thank you so much for making me part of this incredible journey."

"Memories that I will cherish and a team that I will continue to back till the time I’m able to watch the sport #TeamIndia @imVkohli @ImRo45 @ajinkyarahane88," he tweeted and tagged Virat Kohli, Rohit Sharma, and Ajinkya Rahane.

Rahane has responded to the post and he hopes to see the firmer coach soon while adding that they had a lot of great memories while working together. "Lot of great memories Ravi bhai. Will see you soon!", the reply read. 

India's cricket great Rahul Dravid will take over as the team's new head coach. He will begin the journey with a home series against New Zealand, which starts on November 17.
