Jaydev Unadkat smashed 58 off 32 balls against Hyderabad in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy.
Saurashtra captain Jaydev Unadkat posted a clarification on Twitter after fans mistook his batting video clip as a jibe at Hardik Pandya. Hardik hasn't been in a good batting form lately and he also didn't make contributions with the ball being an all-rounder for Team India in the T20 World Cup 2021.
The 30-year-old tweeted that he didn't mean to take a dig at any cricketer and he was only taking pride in contributing to his team. He also urged the fans to take things positively as the players mutually respect each other.

"By the means of uploading videos of what I was able to do in a recent domestic series (cos it isn’t telecasted), doesn’t mean I am taking a jibe at anyone or any player in anyway. I took pride in what I did for my team. I am happy. I showed off. (don’t we all love to do that?)," he tweeted.
Unadkat further added, "Shouldn’t we take things in a positive way & have mutual respect for everyone who’s reached this level in the sport? Typing a tweet can be easy, but reaching an elite level in a sport, in a country of a billion, is not!".
The Saurashtra cricketer had recently posted a video of his knock in which he scored 58 off 32 balls, against Hyderabad in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy. He smashed three sixes and six fours against the bowling attack which included Mohammed Siraj.
Notably, Unadkat wasn't picked for the New Zealand T20Is and even in the Test series. He was also ignored for India A's tour of South Africa. "Just another pace bowler who can bat," he had tweeted with a wink.
