Bhavina Patel is the first Indian to enter the women's single Table Tennis final of the Paralympics.
India's Table Tennis player Bhavina Patel won the silver medal in her maiden Paralympic Games after losing to world number 1 Chinese paddler Ying Zhou in the women's singles class 4 final by 0-3. With Bhavina’s silver, India opened its account at the 2020 Paralympics on Sunday (August 29).
Just a day ago, she stunned China's Miao Zhang to win the hard-fought semi-final match by 3-2 to become the first paddler from India to enter the women's single Table Tennis final of the Paralympics.

Indian cricket fraternity lauded the effort by Bhavina to secure a silver medal in the event. From India cricket great Sachin Tendulkar to former India captain and current BCCI president, Sourav Ganguly, everyone praised the historic medal win by Bhavina.

Ganguly shared Bhavina's picture with the Indian flag and tweeted, "Congratulations to bhavina patel for winning silver ...it's been a successful journey for Olympics and paraolympics participants this year ..great news for Indian sport (sic)."
