Gambhir recently compared India's Olympics medal win in men's hockey to men's cricket world cup wins.
Former opener Gautam Gambhir's recent comments had infuriated the Indian cricket fans. He had compared and said India's triumph in Tokyo Olympics is bigger than the men's cricket World Cup wins.
Fans were not happy with the comparison and felt both the achievements should be celebrated without demeaning any of them. Gambhir had tweeted that India's bronze medal win in men's Hockey is bigger than any of the three cricket World Cup victories
The cricketer-turned-politician later sarcastically reacted to his ex-teammate Harbhajan Singh's words that the gold medal in Olympics was greater than the 2011 World Cup win.
Now, after a lot of outrage, Gambhir made a post on Twitter that he doesn't let his heart and brain come together while speaking out something.
"My brain has no heart. My heart has no brain. That’s why when I speak my mind I seem heartless and when I do what’s in my heart I seem thoughtless," he tweeted past midnight on Wednesday (August 11).
Here's how Twitterati reacted to the post by Gambhir:
