Riyan Parag took over to Rajasthan Royals' Twitter account to interact with the fans.
Assam's all-rounder Riyan Parag took over to his Indian Premier League (IPL) franchise Rajasthan Royals' (RR) Twitter account to interact with fans. Riyan answered a few questions asked by fans and one of them was regarding orange and purple caps in IPL.
The orange cap is given to the top scorer of the tournament, and the bowler ends the season with the most wickets gets the purple cap. A fan wanted to know who Riyan thinks can get both the caps in a season.
Responding to the question, Riyan replied with the name of Chennai Super Kings (CSK) all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja. Jadeja has improved his batting in the last few years and he has been outstanding on slow wickets with the ball.
Riyan used a gif of Jadeja doing his sword celebration in CSK jersey after his half-century. "Jadeja bhau ki jai," read the gif in the tweet.
In the first phase of IPL 2021, Jadeja had collected 37 runs in an over bowled by Royal Challengers Bangalore's (RCB) medium-pacer Harshal Patel. He was also effective with the ball in the same match, dismissing destructive batsmen like Glenn Maxwell and AB de Villiers.
IPL 2021 will continue in September and the tournament has been shifted to the United Arab Emirates for the second phase.
