Taking to Twitter, Pant posted a note that reads: “I am supporting the Hemkunt Foundation through a monetary donation that will help provide O2 cylinders with beds, Covid relief kits and much more to those suffering across the country. I am especially keen to work with organisations providing medical aid and support to rural India and non-metro cities, which do not have the capacity of medical infrastructure than that of the major cities.”
The 23-year-old further urged everyone to contribute in their own way so that the help can reach the remotest part of the country.
India is reporting over 4 lakh COVID-19 cases and close to 4000 deaths for the last few days and the health infrastructure is struggling to cope with the crisis.
Pant also saluted the frontline workers, who have been working tirelessly for the last one year to aid India’s fight against the deadly virus.
Rishabh Pant has joined the likes of Sachin Tendulkar, Virat Kohli, Shikhar Dhawan, Pathan and Pandya brothers, who have contributed to the nation’s recovery from the second wave of the COVID-19 outbreak.
