Shoaib Akhtar's words came through Twitter as India records over three lakh cases.
Former Pakistan pacer Shoaib Akhtar has expressed his concerns over the current situation in India because of the rise in Coronavirus cases. Over three lakh cases in a day were recorded for three consecutive days which sums up India's struggle against COVID-19.
The COVID-19 curve of India has reached all-time high with the increase in the number of cases. Akhtar posted a tweet and showed togetherness while hoping for the situation to get under control.
“Prayers with people of India. I hope things come in control soon & their government is able to handle the crisis better. We are all in it together. #IndiaNeedsOxygen #IndiaFightsCOVID19 #oneworld,” Akhtar tweeted.
Delhi and Maharashtra have recorded the highest-ever number of deaths in a single day. Maharashtra recorded 773 deaths with COVID-19 in the last 24 hours (April 24) while Delhi reported 348 deaths.
Over 14 crore cases have been recorded worldwide and 30 lakh people have lost their lives due to Coronavirus.
