Former Indian cricketer Virender Sehwag reminisces the day he scored his maiden Test triple century and got out on the same day four years later after scoring his second triple ton.

On 29 March 2004, Sehwag became the first Indian cricketer to score a triple century in Test cricket when he got to the mark with a six against arch rivals Pakistan in Multan. It was even more special for him to have his idol Sachin Tendulkar at the other end.

He scored 309 off 375 balls to help Team India post a mammoth total of 675/5, their highest Test total against Pakistan, before declaring. They went on to win the match by an innings and 52 runs. The Indians went on to win the series 2-1 with another innings win in the final Test of the three-match series.

"Time flies faster than Pant's sixes," Virender Sehwag on the 13th anniversary of his 319 versus SA

Four years later, Sehwag scored the second Test century and got out for 319 against South Africa in Chennai. Both the sides scored heavily in the Test and the match ended as a tame draw. The series was drawn 1-1 with South Africa and India winning the second and third Tests respectively.

Virender Sehwag shared a video of him getting to his maiden Test triple hundred against Pakistan. He captioned it, "29th March- a special date for me. Had the privilege and honour of becoming the first Indian to score a triple hundred in Test cricket. Icing on the cake was to score it against Pakistan in Multan. Late #deanjones commentating. Coincidentally 4 years later, on the same date got out on 319 against South Africa in Chennai. #march #indvspak"
