Delhi Capitals had posted a video message by their new buy Steve Smith.
Australia batsman Steve Smith shared a message for Delhi Capitals (DC) fans after being bought by the franchise in IPL 2021 auction. Delhi paid INR 2.2 crore to get Smith in their squad. He was the captain of Rajasthan Royals last season.
Smith recorded a video message for his fans and DC's official Twitter account posted the clip for those who were excited about the Aussie's reaction. Funnily, Smith didn't blink in the video and former India cricketer Wasim Jaffer saw the funny side of it.

Jaffer, with no offense, shared a meme featuring Ex-Pakistan pacer Shoaib Akhtar which read, "aapne mere bacche dara diye (you scared my kids)". He captioned the meme, "aise kyu dekh rahe ho? (why are you looking like this?)".
In the video shared by Delhi Capitals on Twitter, Smith said, "Hey there Delhi Capitals fans, just wanted to say that I am really excited about joining the team this year. I think it is a great squad of players and a great coach. I look forward to getting over there and creating some amazing memories and hopefully helping the team go one better than last year."
Apart from Smith, DC also bought England bowling all-rounder Tom Curran for Rs 5.25 crore, and Sam Billings at his base prices of Rs 2 crore.
