Most of the players in Australia's playing XI have played for RCB or currently a member of the franchise.
Former India cricketer Wasim Jaffer called the first T20I between New Zealand and Australia 'New Zealand vs Royal Challengers Bangalore'. He spotted an interesting fact about Australia's playing XI in the match on Monday (February 22).
Australia's playing XI looked no less than the RCB side as most of the players in the team have played or they are currently part of the Bangalore-based franchise.
Jaffer posted a famous 'Hotline bling' meme featuring Drake. "#NZvAUS or #NZvRCB?", he wrote adding a 'winking face' emoji.

Only Matthew Wade, Mitchell Marsh, Jhye Richardson, and Ashton Agar have never featured in the RCB side. Glenn Maxwell, Daniel Sams, and Jhye Richardson are also among the players who haven't played for Bangalore in IPL. But they are now officially an RCB member for the upcoming season.
Australia captain Aaron Finch was part of the franchise last season, and Marcus Stoinis has played for them in 2019. Josh Philippe, Kane Richardson, and Adam Zampa were RCB members last season and they got retained for the IPL 2021.
The result did justice to the New Zealand vs RCB meme as Australia lost the match by 53 runs. The visitors were bowled out for 131 while chasing 185 runs.
