Hardik and Krunal Pandya lost their father Himanshu Pandya on Saturday, January 16 due to a cardiac arrest. Krunal, who was leading the Baroda side in the ongoing Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy 2021 tournament, left the bio bubble to travel back home.

Both the Pandya brothers have been an integral part of the Mumbai Indians team since IPL 2015 and have shared a bond with the teammates, management and the owners over the years.

The Mumbai Indians franchise remembered Himanshu Pandya's words after his untimely demise. But we were not willing to change our plans, and it’s great to see what they have achieved now' - Himanshu Pandya. RIP"

All those who had questioned the decision to make the two young kids play cricket then, would be happy that the decision did not change because of their comments. Not only them but the whole of India would be happy with the fact that Hardik and Krunal got to play the sport from that age and got the opportunity to become what they have become today.
