Samuels was angered by Stokes' harmless jibe at him and lashed out at the all-rounder and his wife.
Former England captain Michael Vaughan and Australian spin legend Shane Warne have slammed Marlon Samuels for personally abusing English all-rounder Ban Stokes over quarantine joke.
Samuels, the former West Indies all-rounder, yet again renewed his rivalry with Stokes by making derogatory remarks about the latter’s wife for his light-hearted quarantine remark on him.
Stokes, who is currently playing in the IPL 2020 for Rajasthan Royals, recently opened up about the challenges and demands of staying in quarantine due to the COVID-19 pandemic and joking said he wouldn’t wish quarantine life for even his “worst enemy” Samuels.

Well, a seemingly innocuous comment by Stokes didn’t go down well with Samuels as he launched a scathing attack on the England all-rounder and his wife Clare, making racial remarks and a derogatory comment on the cricketer’s wife by saying “none of yall knows me.”
Reacting to the saga, Vaughan described Samuels’ outburst as ‘appalling’, as he slammed the West Indian by saying on Twitter: “This is appalling @marlonsamuels … we are trying to stamp out racism … !! A bit of banter by @benstokes38 should not lead to this…”
Meanwhile, Warne, Stokes’ mentor at RR, and who also had a run-in with Samuels during BBL a few years ago, criticized Samuels for his disgusting social media post about the couple on Twitter on Wednesday.
He tweeted: “I’ve just been sent what Samuels has posted re @benstokes38 & I. It’s a very sad situation as he obviously needs serious help-but has no friends at all & not even his ex-teammates like him. Just because you were an ordinary cricketer-no need to be an ordinary person. Get help son.”
Notably, Stokes and Samuels’ rivalry dates back to 2015 when the West Indian all-rounder mocked Englishman with a send-off salute in a Test match in Grenada.
