Former Indian explosive batsman Virender Sehwag has heaped praise on Rajasthan Royals' all-rounder Rahul Tewatia after his yet another superb batting display in the 27th game of the ongoing 13th edition of the IPL 2020 at Dubai International Stadium on Sunday (October 11).

Tewatia’s fairytale run in the ongoing IPL 2020 is continued as the all-rounder has yet again took the charge of the Royals when the team needed most and powered the franchise to a stunning and much-needed 5-wicket win over the SRH on Sunday.

On Sunday, the IPL 13 match was almost slipped away from the hand of RR at the end of the 11th over when Sanju Samson departed with the innings tottering at 78/5 while defending 158, but Tewatia (45* off 28) and Riyan Parag (42* off 26) yet again joined hands and shared an unbeaten stand of 85 runs to take the Royals over the line in an unbelievable fashion against the SRH in Dubai.

Well, Sehwag was highly impressed by the enthralling display from the RR all-rounder, saying Tewatia is someone who “can snatch victory from jaws of defeat” after the latter yet again pulled out his team out of trouble and handing them a crucial win after losing four games on the trot in the ongoing IPL 2020.

Sehwag said on his Facebook show titled ‘Viru Ki Baithak’: “In Dubai, Tewatia and Parag took Hyderabad to the cleaners. If anyone can snatch victory from jaws of defeat, it is Rahul Tewatia.”

He further explained, “Sunrisers Hyderabad managed to score 158 runs on a slow wicket, which in reality was a good score. Rajasthan Royals then sent in Ben Stokes to open with Jos Buttler. But neither of the two batsman worked for them, and nor did the skipper Steve Smith and Sanju Samson.”

Sehwag signed off, “Riyan Parag injected energy into the innings, and then the rest of the surgery was done by ‘Singham’ Tewatia. So much so that even Rashid Khan could not have stop the batsman.”
