WATCH- Shoaib Malik finally meets his son Izhaan in Dubai

Malik's wife Sania Mirza and son Izhaan were in India for the entire COVID-19 lockdown period.

Pakistani cricketer Shoaib Malik had tried his best to meet his family in India after the COVID-19 restrictions were lifted. However, the restrictions on international travel continued and though the Pakistani cricket board allowed Malik to leave for England for the T20 series late, the meeting didn’t happen.

Malik’s wife Indian tennis star Sania Mirza and son Izhaan were in Hyderabad, India during the whole COVID-19 lockdown period, while Malik was stuck in Pakistan. He hadn’t met his family for more than 5 months and despite every effort from both sides, the meeting didn’t happen until after Malik returned from England.

Recently, he shared a video of meeting his son Izhaan at the Dubai airport and captioned the tweet as, "Of all the titles, I’ve been blessed with over the years, ‘Baba’ has always been my favorite and its all thanks to this little guy! Love you, Izhaan!"
