IPL 2020: CSK "can't wait to see" MS Dhoni in action; shares his smiling photo

Legendary Indian wicketkeeper-batsman and Chennai Super Kings (CSK) captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni is all set to return to action in the 13th edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2020 in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) following a long-break since the 2019 World Cup in England.

Dhoni, who has led the Chennai Super Kings to three IPL titles, last played competitive cricket and for India in the semi-final of the 2019 World Cup against New Zealand in July last year and is currently undergoing mandatory quarantine in the UAE ahead of the IPL 13.

With the 13th edition of the IPL 2020 set to begin on September 19, the long wait for Dhoni's fans to watch him in action would also come to an end when the legendary cricketer return to captain CSK in the tournament opener against the defending champions Mumbai Indians (MI).

To increase to the excitement of Dhoni’s fans, the CSK shared a glimpse of the recently-retired Indian cricket legend on the field decked in his kit, hinting at their skipper’s return to the field after more than a year.

Taking to Twitter on Monday (August 24), the CSK shared a picture of Dhoni carrying his kit on his back and smiling for the camera and captioned the post: “The smile we can't wait to see!”

Noteworthy, all players have been quarantined for six days upon their arrival in the UAE.
