Chopra shared a video of the young girl executing helicopter shot.
Meanwhile, a seven-year-old girl is making heads turn by imitating Dhoni’s helicopter shot.
On Thursday (August 13), former India opener-turned-commentator Aakash Chopra shared a small video of Pari Sharma on Twitter, in which the little girl can be seen executing the helicopter stroke.
Chopra added his commentary too in the 18-second clip.
“Thursday Thunderbolt...our very own Pari Sharma. Isn’t she super talented?” he wrote in the caption.
Former India batsman Sanjay Manjrekar was also left in awe by young Pari’s cricketing skills.
“I see now helicopter shot being actually practiced. Along with collecting the ball very close to the stumps as keeper, this is another cricketing technique Dhoni has popularised as great options for budding cricketers,” tweeted Manjrekar.
This is not the first time Pari has drawn the attention of former cricketers. She had impressed the likes of Nasser Hussain, Michael Atherton and Michael Vaughan with her solid technique earlier this year.
Pari Sharma, hails from Haryana’s Rohtak, aspires to play for Indian women’s cricket team. She is coached by her father, who had played with former India cricketer Ajay Ratra and Joginder Sharma.
