Akhtar and Afridi posted a tweet after the unfortunate flight crash in Karipur.
Former Pakistan cricketers Shoaib Akhtar and Shahid Afridi expressed their condolences over the unfortunate plane Karipur flight crash. As per reports, eighteen people, including both pilots, were killed after the flight from Dubai, which was carrying 190 people, skidded, overshot the runway, and slid into a valley at 7.41 PM on Friday (August 7).
Minister of Civil Aviation Hardeep Singh Puri said a slippery runway was the major reason behind the Kozhikode plane crash. Sources also say that there are two passengers from the flight crash who have tested positive for Covid-19.

Akhtar posted a tweet and prayed for minimum casualties in the crash. "Deeply saddened & hurt to hear about the @airindiain plane crash in Kerala. I hope there are minimum casualties & its less painful for the injured. #AirIndiaCrash #planecrash #Kerala", he wrote.
Another tweet was posted by Afridi who had his sympathy with the families affected because of the tragic incident.
"Really sad to hear the devastating news coming of #Kerela. My thoughts and sympathies with all of the affected families and victims", Afridi wrote in his tweet.
