With no international or domestic cricket going on due to the COVID-19 pandemic, former and current cricketers are keeping themselves busy with different activities.

Recently, ex-India opener-turned-commentator Aakash Chopra named his all-time best Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) XI on Youtube show AakashVani.

RCB are yet to win an IPL title despite having some star-studded players in their line-up. While the Bangalore-based franchise have qualified for the playoffs five times since the inception of the T20 league in 2008, they have finished as runners-up on three occasions.

Even though Virat Kohli’s record as RCB skipper is far from impressive, Aakash picked the former as the captain and opener of the side alongside the swashbuckling Chris Gayle.

For the No. 3 slot, Chopra opted to go with wicketkeeper-batsman KL Rahul followed by AB de Villiers, Ross Taylor and Robin Uthappa.

Aakash Chopra decided against picking any premier all-rounder in the team. While he named Anil Kumble and Yuzvendra Chahal as the two spinners, Mitchell Starc, Zaheer Khan and R Vinay Kumar were the designated fast bowlers in his all-time RCB XI.

Aakash Chopra's all-time RCB XI:

Virat Kohli (C), Chris Gayle, KL Rahul (WK), AB de Villiers, Ross Taylor, Robin Uthappa, Mitchell Starc, Anil Kumble, Yuzvendra Chahal, R Vinay Kumar, Zaheer Khan
