On Wednesday (April 15), Ishant recalled his memorable performances and said he can't pick between his seven-wicket haul at Lord's in 2014 and the fifer he took in India's maiden pink ball Test against Bangladesh in November 2019.
"Both of them are equally memorable," Ishant said in a video tweeted by his Indian Premier League side Delhi Capitals.
"Taking seven wickets at Lord's is obviously something I can't forget. And taking those five wickets with the pink ball also I can't forget because after 12 years I had taken a five-wicket haul."
Ishant Sharma was the Player-of-the-Match in India’s historic 95-run victory in the 2014 Lord’s Test. He returned with the figures of 7/74 in the second innings to trigger England’s collapse.
In the pink ball Test against Bangladesh, Ishant claimed nine wickets to script a thumping innings and 46-run victory for India. The lanky pacer finished with the figures of 5/22 and 4/56 across the two innings.
Ishant was supposed to play for Delhi Capitals in the 13th edition of IPL. But with the COVID-19 lockdown being extended in the country till May 3, it is unlikely the cash-rich event will be organised anytime soon.
