Today, on April 12, people of Christianity faith all over the world are celebrating Easter. Easter, also known as Resurrection Sunday, is a festival and holiday commemorating the resurrection of Jesus from the dead, described in the New Testament as having occurred on the third day after burial following his crucifixion by the Romans at Calvary c. 30 AD.

The resurrection established Jesus as the Son of God and is cited as proof that God will righteously judge the world. Easter and the holidays that are related to it are moveable feasts, in that they do not fall on a fixed date in the Gregorian or Julian calendars.

In countries where Christianity is a state religion, Easter is more or less a holiday observed by all. Some retail stores, shopping malls, and restaurants are closed on Easter Sunday. One of the lovable traditions of Easter is the Easter eggs. Modern custom is to substitute decorated chocolate, or plastic eggs filled with candy such as jellybeans; as many people give up sweets as their Lenten sacrifice, individuals enjoy them at Easter after having abstained from them during the preceding forty days of Lent.

Cricket fraternity all over the world took to Twitter to wish their fans on the occasion of this festive holiday.
