Harmanpreet recently led India to the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup final down under.
Just like all other cricketers in the world, India’s Harmanpreet Kaur is currently having an unforeseen break from the game in the wake of the Coronavirus outbreak, which has claimed more than 24,000 lives and infected over 532,000 globally as of March 27.
In India, around 730 confirmed cases have been reported while 17 people have lost their lives thus far.
Amid the crisis, cricketers are finding ways to keep themselves occupied. On Thursday (March 26), Harmanpreet conducted a Question-Answer session on social media where a curious fan asked what she was talking to Virat Kohli about, and she had an interesting reply.
The Indian women’s T20 skipper took to Twitter and wrote, “Hey guys as we are staying at home and taking precautions by social distancing. I thought of doing a Q&A session with you. Let's make the most of the digital world. Send in your questions with #AskHarman and I will answer as many as I can.”
One fan of Harmanpreet posted a picture of her on the field, in the presence of Smriti Mandhana and Virat Kohli wherein all of them seemed to be having a fun conversation.
The fan curiously asked: “What were you talking to Kohli?”
In reply, Kaur wrote: “Asking for his bat”
Notably, Harmanpreet Kaur recently led India to the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup final down under. Although the Women in Blue were outplayed in the summit, they had a stellar campaign overall.
India had dominated their way through to the knock-outs, defeating hosts Australia, Bangladesh, New Zealand and Sri Lanka in Group A while their last-four clash against England was washed out.
