There was rumour among Indian teens that Ponting had a spring in his bat's handle.
Ricky Ponting posted a photo of his 2003 World Cup bats and Twitterati began asking him where the spring was in those bats.
Former Australian captain Ricky Ponting played a match-winning knock in the ICC World Cup 2003 Final against India and there was a rumor among the teens back then that there is a spring in Ponting’s bat which allows him to score freely.
Indian fans got the right opportunity to ask him where the spring was as soon as he posted the photos.
Ricky Ponting’s post:
Given we've all got a bit of time on our hands as we stay at home, thought I'd go through what I've kept from my career and share some of it with everyone on a regular basis - this is the bat I used in the 2003 World Cup final. pic.twitter.com/meoBP6NJvg
