At 5 PM, people across the country came out of their homes and on their balconies to clap, clang utensils and ring bells to show gratitude to those who are serving others at the risk of getting infected by COVID-19 themselves.

Former India batsman Yuvraj Singh and his wife Hazel Keech also expressed solidarity by coming out on their terrace.

Hazel uploaded a video of the same on Instagram with the caption reading: “5pm in India and we are on our balconies to make noise and show our appreciation to the real heros of our country who keep us safe.”
