Kane Williamson and Aaron Finch joked about the handshake during the toss. They shook hands and later laughed it off. "A handshake out of habit, and then a quick joke, between the skippers #AUSvNZ," cricket.com.au tweeted.

Australia won the toss in the opening ODI and decided to bat first. They scored 258/7 in the first innings. It wasn't the total they would have expected after a good start of 124 for the opening wicket.

The threat of Coronavirus is real and sports events around the world are being scheduled to play behind closed doors. Most of the tournaments are already canceled because of the deadly virus outbreak.
