Ganguly to officially take over as BCCI President from Oct 23.

Ganguly was unanimously selected to lead the BCCI in a meeting on Monday which was attended by bigwigs of Indian cricket fraternity including former BCCI President N Srinivasan. He will have to leave his post in September 2020 as he will go into compulsory cooling-off period. This development will also end a 33-month term of the Committee of Administrators, which was running the BCCI after the Lodha Committee reforms.
Ganguly received many wishes from the international cricket fraternity for his appointment as the new BCCI chief.
