The Indian team touched down in the UK on Wednesday and was right down to the business and started training for the upcoming World Cup. India take on New Zealand on May 25 and Bangladesh on May 28 in the warm-up matches before the ICC mega event.

While India opted to train in the afternoon ahead of their first warm-up match against New Zealand, Indian captain Virat Kohli caught up with England football captain Harry Kane at Lord's.

Harry Kane who is a big fan of Kohli, had brief conversations with him on Twitter over the years. It all began in 2016 when the English footballer praised world’s best batsman Kohli for his blazing innings against Australia in the T20 World Cup. The India No.3 batsman scored an unbeaten 82 off just 51 deliveries which took India to the semifinals of the tournament.

The two earlier also came in contact when Kohli sent his best wishes to Kane ahead of the FIFA World Cup 2018. Kane had acknowledged Kohli’s message and replied to him as well.

After meeting Kohli on Friday, the Tottenham forward tweeted a photo with him and wrote, “After a few tweets in the last couple of years good to finally meet @imVkohli. A great guy and a brilliant sportsman.
