KL Rahul played just one ODI in this five-match series.
With the fifth and final One Day International between India and Australia is being underway at the Feroz Shah Kotla Stadium in Delhi, Indian cricket fans are not happy with Captain Virat Kohli’s call to drop KL Rahul for Ravindra Jadeja for the series decider on Wednesday (13 March).
In the ongoing five-match ODI series, Australia made a brilliant comeback by winning the last two matches at Ranchi and Mohali after India won the first two matches in Hyderabad and Nagpur to level 2-2 series with the decider got underway in Delhi.
On Wednesday, Australia skipper Aaron Finch won the toss and decided to bat first at on a difficult Delhi pitch under lights, while Captain Kohli came up a surprising team combination for the crucial encounter.
The 30-year-old decided to go with five bowlers in Mohammed Shami, Jasprit Bumrah Kuldeep Yadav and Bhuvneshwar Kumar, surprisingly leaving Yuzvendra Chahal and KL Rahul for Jadeja from the Playing XI against Australia for Delhi ODI.
However, fans were not happy with Rahul’s exclusion for the Delhi ODI, as they believe that the Karnataka batsman deserves more opportunities to prove himself ahead of World Cup 2019.
