Indian players posted pictures on social media while celebrating Diwali.
Diwali is being celebrated across India and other parts of the world today. One of the most popular festivals of Hinduism, Diwali symbolises the spiritual "victory of light over darkness, good over evil and knowledge over ignorance". During the celebration, temples, homes, shops and office buildings are brightly illuminated.
Indian cricketers too are celebrating Diwali with their loved ones as the senior cricket team is on a short four-day break from their ongoing series with the Windies, while the domestic cricketers are also on a break from the Ranji Trophy which began last week.
The widely popular cricketers didn't forget their fans on the special day as they shared their warm wishes for the fans and posted pictures from their celebrations at home. Team India skipper, Virat Kohli took the lead as this is his first Diwali as a married man. Likes of Rohit Sharma and Ajinkya Rahane posted their wishes with video messages.
