Dale Steyn, the brilliant South African bowler is on his way back to international cricket and in order to get match practice, opted to play for Hampshire in the English County Royal London One-Day Cup.

Steyn, who has battled injuries in the past two years, was last seen in Proteas colors against India in January when he got injured again and has since been on a path to make a comeback to the national team.

Before the finals of the Royal London One-Day Cup, Rob Key of Sky Sports asked Steyn to pick his dream team for Test matches. He was asked to pick the 11 best players according to him and give reasons for his selection.

Dale Steyn picked a formidable side comprising of former South Africa captain Graeme Smith, Hashim Amla, Kumar Sangakkara and many more including Virender Sehwag.

However, when it came to choosing the batsman to play at no.4, Steyn showed no hesitancy in picking the best no.4 batsman ever in India’s little master Sachin Tendulkar. Sachin, who holds the record for most runs, most centuries in Tests, is the first and only player to play 200 Test matches in the history of the game.

When asked about the reasons, Dale Steyn just said that Sachin left him hopeless. Steyn revealed the reason for picking Sachin by saying, “Sachin was amazing. In Test cricket, he was like a wall. I remember bowling at him in India and I just felt he had everything covered. He kind of knew when I going to bowl an away swinger and could leave it. He kind of knew when I was going to bowl an in-swinger and had to play at it, or if I was going to bowl a short ball and he had to duck. He had me covered. I've never felt so hopeless before! I just felt like I couldn't get him out and had no answer.
