India's encouraging Football captain, Sunil Chhetri led India to the title as they defeated Kenya in the final of Intercontinental Cup. The Indian captain, Sunil Chhetri scored twice as India defeated Kenya in a convincing manner.
Sunil in his 102nd appearance, came level with Argentina's Lionel Messi in the tally of international goals, by scoring 64 goals.
It was indeed a very spectacular performance from Indian players and especially the captain Sunil Chhetri throughout the tournament whereas Sunil Chhetri hit 8 goals in total to become the highest scorer of the league.
When the chances were coming for Kenya, Gurpreet came to the rescue when Ochieng launched another long range with clearing off the field. In the whole tournament, India lost only one match, against New Zealand.
This tournament win can definitely be a beginning of new era for Indian Football with motivating youngsters to play and support the team in the upcoming matches. The whole nation supported football in the same way as they support cricket.
