Nehra retired from all formats of cricket in November 2017.
Ashish Nehra is celebrating the festival of color with his wife Rushma. Rushma shared a short clip of her teasing her husband with water.
Their love story has been much interesting as the couple met during one of India’s match in England (The Oval) in the year 2000. He saw Rushma and fell in love with her at first sight. They dated for quite a while, before finally marrying.
It is being said that Nehra was quick to take the decision to marry and got married in just 10 days after the proposal. When Nehra decided to get settled, he had a chat with his friends and stated he wants to tie the knot on April 1st.
The incident is of March 2009. He narrated this incident on Breakfast With Champions, which is hosted by Gaurav Kapoor.
But, since April 1st is Fool’s Day, Nehra was advised against it and he chose the date 2nd instead. However, his friends figured he meant April 2010 as opposed to the very next month.
Nehra, the second oldest player to represent India in T20I, announced his retirement from all forms of cricket in late 2017 with the T20I match against New Zealand on 1 November 2017 his last appearance.
