The legendary singer passed away on April 12 at the age of 92 due to multiple organ failure.
Tendulkar, accompanied by his wife Anjali, arrived at Asha’s residence, Casa Grande in Lower Parel, Mumbai, for the antim darshan (final viewing) on Monday (April 13).
In a video shared by news agency PTI on social media, the batting maestro was seen wiping away tears while speaking with the grieving family. He has often spoken of his close, family-like bond with the late singer, referring to her as "Asha Tai".
Earlier, Tendulkar had paid an emotional tribute to Asha Bhosle on X (formerly Twitter), calling her passing a "deeply sad day for India, and for music lovers across the world".
India and Gujarat Titans pacer Mohammed Siraj also visited Mumbai to pay respects to Asha Bhosle at her residence, taking time off from his hectic IPL schedule.
Siraj was seen consoling a heartbroken Zanai Bhosle, Asha’s granddaughter, with whom he shares a close brotherly bond. Zanai had previously tied a rakhi to the fast bowler during Raksha Bandhan.
Asha Bhosle took her last breath at Breach Candy Hospital in Mumbai. She was admitted on Saturday due to chest infection and exhaustion.
With a career spanning over eight decades and over 12,000 songs, Asha was a Guinness World Record holder known for her immense versatility across genres. She was the recipient of Padma Vibhushan, Dadasaheb Phalke Award, and multiple National Awards.
