PCB shared the video of Naqvi greeting Maryam on social media platform X. The post seemed to have annoyed Naseem, who took a swipe at Maryam.
“Why is she being treat like the queen at Lords?” Naseem asked his followers. He quickly deleted the tweet and later claimed his account was hacked.
“This account of Naseem was recently hacked but now recovered successfully,” he wrote on X after the initial post went viral.
While Naseem Shah is drawing backlash for the controversial post, no action has been taken against him as of now.
Meanwhile, Lahore Qalandars kicked off their campaign with a comprehensive 69-run victory over Hyderabad Kingsmen.
Opting to bat first, Qalandars posted a commanding 199/6 on the board, driven by Fakhar Zaman’s 53 off 39 balls, 40 from Haseebullah Khan, and a 24-run cameo from Sikandar Raza.
In reply, Hyderabad’s innings folded for 130. The chase never gained momentum as several batters failed to make the start count. Skipper Marnus Labuschagne finished as the top scorer with 26.
