Glenn Phillips will play for Gujarat Titans in the IPL 2026.
One of the most acrobatic fielders, safe wicketkeeper, and explosive batters, Glenn Phillips showed off his skills as a pilot on Tuesday, March 17, as he successfully landed a light aircraft at Auckland’s Ardmore Aerodrome.
Phillips released an Instagram clip on his official account that showed him doing a complex maneuver to successfully land the plane. Phillips is continuing his journey towards obtaining a commercial pilot's license.
The all-rounder confirmed that he recently interacted with pupils and instructors at the Ardmore flying school.
“Such a privilege to be invited to speak to and meet all the students, instructors, and staff at the @ardmoreflyingschool. It was an amazing time getting into the A320 sim, seeing the fleet, and seeing the amazing facilities they have on offer. The weather didn’t play ball to get up into the sky, but we’ll save that for another day,” Phillips captioned the post.

Phillips has made it clear that he enjoys flying and that if he had more money, he would have chosen a career in aviation over cricket. He even intimated that being a pilot would be at the top of his list of post-cricket employment options.
"Yeah, it's a huge passion of mine. If I hadn't been playing cricket and I had all the money in the world growing up, I probably would have ended up being a pilot, to be fair. I love being in the air. Ideally, I'd like to go into the mountains and have absolutely no need for work, just enjoy all my hobbies. But if I still need to work, piloting would be my first option on the list," said Phillips as per India Today.
Phillips will be in action forthe Gujarat Titans in the upcoming IPL 2026.
