Batting maestro Sachin Tendulkar made a notable appearance in Lionel Messi's GOAT Tour 2025 at the Wankhede Stadium, Mumbai on Sunday (December 14). The legendary cricketer also had a special gift for the Argentina football great.
Arguably the greatest footballer of all time, Messi is on his maiden tour to India. He visited Kolkata and Hyderabad on December 13, and a day later, touched down Mumbai amid rousing reception.
Messi arrived at the Wankhede Stadium on Sunday evening. After a lap of honour, the soccer legend met ‘God of Cricket’. The two icons shook hands, and Tendulkar had a special present for Messi.
Tendulkar gifted Messi a signed Indian team jersey from the triumphant 2011 World Cup campaign. The Argentine accepted the gift gracefully, and the duo posed for an iconic photograph.
The moment was met with loud cheers and the presenter reminded the fans about the "No. 10" connection between the two greats. Both superstars in their sports, share the common jersey number.
