Sooryavanshi hammered 108* in 61 balls with 7 fours and 7 sixes.
The young left-handed opener from Samastipur put on an incredible display in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy 2025 match between Bihar and Maharashtra. He hit his first century of the competition in Bihar's fifth encounter of the ongoing Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy 2025.
The 14-year-old rising star reached his hundred in just 58 balls, blasting 7 fours and 7 sixes. Vaibhav completed his century in ideal form, striking a booming six off Arshin Kulkarni's opening delivery of the 20th over at Kolkata's Eden Gardens.

In this century, he broke Vijay Zol's record as the youngest player to score a century in the Syed Mushtaq Ali T20 Trophy. Zol achieved a century on the SMAT at the age of 18 years and 118 days.
In addition, Vaibhav has become the first adolescent to score three T20 hundreds before the age of 15. Before him, only two players—Vaibhav's U19 teammate Ayush Mhatre and France's Gustav Mackeon—had scored two T20 hundreds before turning 20.
All three of Vaibhav Sooryavanshi’s centuries have come for three different teams. His first T20 century came for Rajasthan Royals in the IPL 2025, where he slammed a 35-ball ton, the fastest in IPL history by an Indian.
Then Sooryavanshi hammered a 32-ball century for India A against the UAE in the Rising Stars Asia Cup in Qatar. He smashed 144 in 42 balls, hitting 15 sixes and 11 fours.
Vaibhav, who is only 14 years and 250 days old, remained unbeaten on 108 off 60 deliveries, helping Bihar reach a good total of 176 for the loss of three wickets against Maharashtra.
However, the total was not enough, as Prithvi Shaw’s 66 in 30 balls and contributions from Niraj Joshi and Ranjeet Nikam helped Maharashtra overall reach the target with 3 wickets in hand, making 182/7 in 19.1 overs.
