Pratika Rawal was ruled out of the World Cup after injury, replaced by Shafali Verma.
The Indian prime minister had a conversation and dinner with Harmanpreet Kaur and company. In a now-viral video, Modi won over many people's hearts by giving food to the injured Pratika Rawal over supper.
On Wednesday night, PM Narendra Modi had a great time with the Indian women's team. Head coach Amol Muzumdar and BCCI president Mithun Manhas accompanied Harmanpreet Kaur and company to his home on Lok Kalyan Marg.
The Indian PM invited them to supper after they had a lively discussion about cricket, faith, tattoos, and skin care. Before the players started gorging on the buffet, he offered them various sweets.
Opener Pratika Rawal was also present with the Indian team, but in a wheelchair as PM Modi welcomed the contingent. The prime minister took matters into his own hands and gave the injured opening batter refreshments after observing that she was having difficulty taking the food for herself.
"Aapko koi kuch de nahi raha, kya pasand hai aapko?" PM Modi asked Pratika before serving a dish to her.
Pratika thanked the PM for his gesture. However, PM Modi reaffirmed whether she liked the dish or not. "Do you like it or not?" said PM Modi.
