Jasprit Bumrah will travel to Australia for the five-T20I series later.
In a video that went viral on social media, Bumrah was obviously irritated in response to these reporters. Not immediately after leaving the airport, he was mobbed by media professionals and cameramen who began shooting his photos and wouldn't allow him to go freely to his vehicle, which was parked nearby.
The local media seems to have ruffled the normally placid Bumrah, who appeared agitated by the situation and asked the man holding the camera to clear his path.
“Maine bulaya hi nahi (I have not asked you guys to come)," Bumrah said in the viral video.
He then thought that local journalists had arrived to photograph another big figure in Mumbai.
“Tum kisi aur ke liye aaye ho; aa rahe honge wo. (You guys have come for someone else; they must be coming," he added.
The media persons then angered the pacer further by calling him their “Diwali bonus" for photos and a potential quote or two.
“Bumrah bhai, aap bonus mein mile ho humein Diwali ke (You are our Diwali bonus),” someone said.
That comment irked the premium fast bowler even more as he said in angst, "Arey bhai, meri gaadi ke paas jaane do mujhe (Please let me go to my car)."
