India and Australia will clash in the first ODI on October 19 in Perth.
As the squad boarded the bus bound for T3 airport, Kohli, who was sitting inside, noticed a small RCB fan in the crowd outside the team hotel. The 36-year-old quickly stopped the security guard standing outside and asked him to retrieve the 'Kohli' poster that the youngster was carrying.
Kohli then signed it and gave it over to the fan, who was seen wearing an RCB jersey. He then posed in front of the bus for a photo, with Kohli sitting behind him.
Kohli, who now resides in London with his family, returned to India for the first time since the conclusion of IPL 2025. He also had the privilege of having his mandatory pre-season fitness test conducted there by the BCCI.
Both Kohli and Rohit last played for India in the Champions Trophy 2025 in Dubai in March this year, and this will be their return to India colors after nearly eight months. The duo has retired from T20Is and Tests already.
The Indian squad will arrive in Perth, which will host the first ODI on October 19. The second and third ODIs will take place on October 23 and 25. This will be followed by a five-match T20I series from October 29 to November 8.
