Amir, Butt and Mohammad Asif were jailed after being convicted of spot-fixing in 2010 Lord's Test.
A video has gone viral on social media that shows Mohammad Amir and Salman Butt, both former Pakistani cricketers, bowling during a practice session. While Butt is seen bowling right-arm medium, Amir is seen bowling almost full tilt from a short run-up.
Something that was noticeable was that Butt was bowling properly, but Amir was overstepping big time. He was seen bowling twice in the short video clip, and he overstepped both times by a huge margin.

The fans were quick to notice this as well and went on a rampage on social media, calling both Salman Butt and Mohammad Amir fixers. They were creative in their mocking as they were reminded of one huge shameful thing that tarnished Pakistan cricket’s reputation.
Mohammad Amir, Mohammad Asif, and then Pakistan captain Salman Butt were imprisoned in Britain after it was found that the three were involved in spot-fixing during the 2010 Lord’s Test in England.
Salman Butt was charged as the main accused for receiving money from a bookmaker to get Asif and Amir to deliberately bowl no-balls at certain pre-arranged moments during the Test. Salman Butt was handed a jail term of 2 years and 6 months, Mohammad Asif received a one-year jail term, and Amir got 6 months.
Butt and Asif were banned by the Pakistan Cricket Board and never played for Pakistan again, while Mohammad Amir returned to the Pakistani team after serving his 5 years of ban.
Seeing Mohammad Amir bowl big no-balls again in the short viral video clip, the cricket fans on social media felt nostalgic about the spot-fixing scandal.
