Prabhsimran Singh is the leading run-getter in ongoing Sher-e-Punjab T20 league.
Jalandhar Warriors, who were asked to bat first, scored 169/8, with Gourav Markan leading the way with 52 off 43 deliveries. Prabhsimran, who scored 39 from 30 balls, also contributed significantly. Krish Bhagat, who finished with outstanding figures of 4/36 from his four overs, was the standout bowler for the Ludhiana Lions.
Ludhiana Lions gave a good chase with Arjun Rajput (45) being the top-scorer, while openers Abhijeet Garg (29) and Bikramjeet Singh (24) added 49 runs for the first wicket. Captain Salil Arora made 26 and, along with Krish Bhagat (14*), took the chase to the last over.
Along with Bhagat, Aseem Kohli was at the crease when Prabhsimran Singh brought on a spinner to defend the 10 runs. Randeep Singh bowled brilliantly, taking two wickets and giving away only two runs as Warriors won the close game by 7 runs.
After Jalandhar secured a close victory, captain Prabhsimran broke into the famous Punjabi bhangra dance on the field to celebrate the memorable win.
