Smriti Mandhana and Richa Ghosh play for Manchester Super Giants in the Hundred Women's 2026.
Smriti Mandhana is currently playing for Manchester Super Giants in the ongoing The Hundred Women’s 2026 tournament in the UK. The tournament saw MSG start their journey with a win to their name, while their second game got abandoned.
Apart from Smriti Mandhana, India’s keeper-batter Richa Ghosh is also part of the Manchester franchise, owned by Sanjiv Goenka, who also owns the Lucknow Super Giants in the Indian Premier League competition.
In a funny video shared by Manchester Super Giants on social media, Smriti Mandhana and Richa Ghosh are shown indulging in some backyard cricket. Ghosh is seen batting, while Mandhana has the ball.
In the video, Mandhana bowls to Ghosh, who tries to hit a big shot, while using a stump for a bat. She swings hard as the ball goes to the leg side and she takes off for a run. However, the ball, due to being hit by a stump, has lots of backspin on it and bounces towards the stumps, dislodging the bails.
None of the involved players, including Richa and Mandhana, could believe the mode of dismissal and were seen laughing hard at the misfortune.
