MS Dhoni is celebrating his 45th birthday on July 7, 2026.
Former India captain Virender Sehwag took to Instagram to share a very quirky birthday wish to legendary India captain and keeper MS Dhoni. Dhoni is celebrating his 45th birthday on July 7, 2026.
MS Dhoni had an astonishing career for India from 2004 to 2020, when he announced his retirement on August 15. He remains the only captain in the world to win all three white-ball ICC trophies in the T20 World Cup 2007, the ODI World Cup 2011, and the Champions Trophy 2013.
He also played 90 Tests, 350 ODIs, and 98 T20Is for India, amassing 4,876 runs, 10,773 runs, and 1,617 runs, respectively. He announced his retirement in 2020, and his last international game for India was the semi-final of the 2019 World Cup.
However, MS Dhoni has continued to play in the IPL, where he has 5439 runs in 278 games with 24 fifties at a strike rate of 137.85 and a best score of 84*. He has also hit 264 sixes in the IPL. He had led Chennai Super Kings from 2008-2015 and 2018-2023, winning the IPL title five times for the franchise.
Meanwhile, Virender Sehwag had a very unique wish for MS Dhoni on his birthday, as he talked about “Dhoni”, a waterfall in Kerala, and compared the nature of the waterfall with the ex-India captain.
“Kerala ke Palakkad mein, ek jungle ke andar, ek waterfall hai jiska naam hai -Dhoni. Koi seedha nahi pahunch sakta. Rasta mushkil hai thoda.Guide chahiye. Teen ghante chalke jaao tab dikhta hai.
Aur jab dikhta hai? Upar se bilkul shant. Andar se aag. Surface smooth, lekin kareeb jao toh pata chalta hai kitna powerful hai. Kerala Forest Department ne iske saath ek rule banaya hai. Paani dikhta calm hai. Hai nahi.”Mujhe nahi pata yeh rule waterfall ke liye tha ya No. 7 ke liye.
