Sooryavanshi is likely to make his India debut in T20Is against Ireland.
Vaibhav Sooryavanshi had his first batting session in India senior nets ahead of the first T20I against Ireland on June 26, 2026. This game and the second T20I on June 28 will be played at the Civil Service Cricket Club, Stormont, Belfast.
Both games will begin at 6 am IST so as not to clash with the ongoing Women’s T20 World Cup 2026. This will also be the first time India will play in Belfast, Northern Ireland.
Meanwhile, all eyes are on the 15-year-old Vaibhav Sooryavanshi, who became the youngest player ever to be included in India’s squad and might break Sachin Tendulkar’s record for the youngest Indian debutant, if he’s included in the India XI for the first T20I.
Ahead of the game, Sooryavanshi was seen having his first batting session against the senior Indian bowlers in Belfast. He faced both pacers and spinners and had a lengthy batting session of little over an hour.
After finishing his session, he raced towards head coach Gautam Gambhir and had a few words before having a much-deserved water break. He was also seen indulging in a talk with Ishan Kishan, who hails from Jharkhand.
