Team India lost the recently concluded three-match T20I series 2-1 to Sri Lanka. While the batting unit was criticized for their terrible performances in second and third T20Is, wicketkeeper-batsman Sanju Samson received a lot of flak for his poor performances in the series.

Samson played all three matches of the series but only managed to score 27, 7 and 0 respectively. Pakistan wicketkeeper-batsman Kamran Akmal in his latest YouTube video talked about how the right-hander has disappointed his fans with this poor display in Sri Lanka.

There were a lot of expectations from Sanju Samson to perform and take India out of the pressure situation. He has ample experience having scored three hundreds in the IPL and also has experience of playing domestic cricket, Kamran Akmal said in a YouTube video.

But unfortunately, in international cricket, we aren’t able to see the focus and shots that he shows in the IPL. He couldn't have got a better opportunity to prove himself,” he added.

The 39-year-old from Lahore then praised the Sri Lankan all-rounder Wanindu Hasaranga who not only did dismiss Samson twice in the series but also picked most wickets in the series and hence was adjudged to be the Man of the Series.

Since the time Hasaranga arrived in Sri Lankan cricket, he is dominating world cricket. At home, in the West Indies and in Pakistan too he was picking wickets. It is a good thing for Sri Lanka cricket that after Muralitharan there is come a spinner who can pick wickets in the middle-overs,” Akmal signed off.

As far as the Indian team is concerned, after the white-ball tour of Sri Lanka, the Virat Kohli-led Indian team will be taking on hosts England in a five-match Test series slated to begin from 4 August at Trent Bridge in Nottingham.
