Sri Lanka levelled the three-match T20I series 1-1 after winning the second game.
Sri Lanka's Wanindu Hasaranga has been very impressive in the limited-overs series against India. He is among the best performers with the ball and now his gesture in the second T20I caught everyone's attention.
Sri Lanka were chasing 133 in the rescheduled second T20I on Wednesday (July 28). Hasaranga came out to bat at number 6 and scored a valuable 11-ball 15.
In the 15th over, Hasaranga hit Rahul Chahar for a boundary and then got out next delivery. Chahar was pumped after the wicket and the leggie yelled a few words to the Sri Lankan.
But Hasaranga responded calmly by clapping his bat, which could well be in a sarcastic way. The gesture received praises on social media and the netizens were impressed with his nonchalant attitude.
Eventually, Sri Lanka won the match by four wickets with 2 deliveries remaining. They have levelled the series 1-1 with one more match to go.
